One-on-One Coaching

One-on-one coaching is designed to help you discover your path forward to the next chapter of life as well as the person you long to become. When we find ourselves in a rut or stuck in a place where what used to work no longer does, connecting with a coach allows for a shift in mindset and vision to see new ways forward. A well-trained and certified coach is on your side but serving as a guide who helps you see what you might be missing and challenges you to push a little bit deeper towards transformation.

When hiring a coach, you are declaring to your life that you will be moving towards the preferred future and life you were created to live. In times of transition (such as significant job changes, empty nests, divorce, or creating a new dream), a coach can be a great benefit to clarity and transformation. See, it is not just about moving into the next chapter but determining who you will be in this new chapter of life. While who you were and what you did got you to this point, it will not get you to the next. A coach can help you discover the who and the what for the next season, chapter, or part of your journey.

It is essential to know what a coach is not before you start.
  • A coach is not a mentor or a consultant. They will not tell you what to do with your life or what your goal(s) need to be for your life. A coach will help you discover what you may already know and encourage you to take the next step towards your goal. They will be your guide, your cheerleader, your lead encourager as you clarify the goals and actions necessary to move you toward your preferred future.
  • A coach is not a counselor. During your coaching, you may find areas of your life where you need to experience some deep emotional, mental, or psychological healing. A coach may help you uncover this need but is not trained to lead you towards recovery.
  • A coach will not tell you what is right or wrong for you but help you discover this truth for yourself.
  • A coach is not going to support you the same way a friend does. A coach will remain impartial to what is going on in your life while still desiring the best for your life. This impartiality allows them to hold you to real accountability.

Coaching is designed to be goal-centered and not an ongoing relationship. While you may want to maintain the coaching relationship, it works best only when new goals are being set and achieved. As a coach, my job is to help you develop the tools and abilities needed to move forward. A win for me is when you experience success and wins in your life. When I can help you discover a new set of tools for your toolbox and find success, then I know I have played my part well.

If you are experiencing a major life transition or wilderness season of life, then I would love to assist you in your journey. There are several coaching packages available, depending on what you need. You may need a one-time coaching conversation to help you shift your mindset or reframe the issue in front of you. If you would like to go deeper, there are three months, six months, and one-year contracts available. Most clients choose the three or 6-month option as it tends to be an easier time frame to work within. Each coaching contract comes with a complimentary discovery call to clarify your goals and ensure where you hope to be can be achieved in the chosen time.
